Sold another book!

« previous entry | next entry »

Pirates of the Retail Wasteland, the sequel to my first book, How To Get Suspended and Influence People, tells the story of how the main characters from book I take over the local corporate coffee shop and turn it into an accounting and mid-level management strategies office.

And Random House just bought it!

I shall now dance around and make all the necessary phone calls. Mostly dance around.

Wait... you just sold a young-adult novel about mid-level management? That takes talent!

Yea, you! I can't wait to read them, especially since I already like YA novels. When school's done (and I'm actually reading again) I'll need to get a reading list from you again -- my memory is so bad. And, if yours is too, the author I think you ought to pick up is Francesca Lia Block.

Just for "How To Get Suspended and Influence People." I imagine Pirates will be about a year later or so.

YAY ADAM! That's fanstastic! I can't wait to buy the first one. :-D. I'm planning on building a Firebrand Library so I can brag about all my "colleagues." ha.

Looking forward to meeting you in Chicago. :-D.
