GROGG PANCAKES
Ingredients:
2 cups of cheap red wine
about 1/4 cup of brandy
1 handful or so of raisins
1 apple, diced
1 tablespoon of cinammon
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
2 teaspoons of ground cloves
1 teaspoon of allspice
1 thing of pancake mix (or waffles, if that's the way you swing)
Mix wine, raisins, apples, cinammon, brown sugar, cloves and allspice in a small saucepan. Let the raisins and apples soak in it for at least an hour (especially the raisins!). The raisins should expand in size and pale a bit in color.
Start making the pancakes. When you do so, put the mixture above on medium high heat, stirring now and then.
Put pancakes aside when made, and continue letting the mixture cook - let it boil enough to thicken. Most of the wine (and, hence, alcohol) will be gone - so once it's properly thick, remove it from heat and stir in the brandy. Pour on top of pancakes. If you're the sort who knows how to set brandy on fire, do, by all means! I sort of at failed that part, and should have let it soak longer (longer is better for the raisins and spice) but the mixture was still REALLY tasty.

BTW - the kind of shoes I wear are black mocs with all kinds of arch support. Walking shoes.
